How to make a custom QR code

Type a link or text, pick a dot style and colors, optionally drop a logo in the center, and download. The preview updates live as you change anything, so you can see exactly what you'll get before saving. Every QR code you create here encodes your content directly — there's no third-party redirect, tracking, or subscription behind it, which means it will never expire.

Choosing colors that still scan

Scanners need contrast between the code and its background. Keep the code color noticeably darker than the background (a light background with a dark code is the safest, most universally readable combination). If you invert it — light code on a dark background — most modern phones still read it fine, but older scanners can struggle, so test before printing anything at scale.

PNG vs. SVG

PNG is a fixed-resolution image, ideal for screens, emails, and documents. SVG is vector-based and scales to any size without losing sharpness, which makes it the better choice for posters, signage, or anything printed large.

Frequently asked questions

Does this QR code expire or stop working?

No. The QR code encodes your link or text directly — there's no tracking redirect and no subscription, so it never expires and keeps working as long as the destination itself exists.

Will a logo in the center make the QR code harder to scan?

A small centered logo is safe because QR codes include built-in error correction. This tool automatically raises the error correction level when you add a logo. Always test-scan the final design before printing.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

Use SVG if you're printing at large sizes (posters, signage) since it scales without losing quality. Use PNG for screens, documents and most everyday uses.

Can I create a Wi-Fi QR code?

Yes — switch to Wi-Fi mode, enter your network name and password, and guests can scan to connect automatically without typing anything.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser. Your link, text or Wi-Fi password never leaves your device.
